The sixth annual graduation ceremony of Wesley contemporary school


The sixth annual graduation ceremony of Wesley contemporary school was on 24/05/2012 on its ground. The occasion was attended by parents, teaches, global new generation members, well wishes and the ambassador of the United States Mrs. White.


The occasion was open by Mr. Sammy Davies and introduction remarks by Mr. Arthur Jackson, twenty six students graduated on that day with excellent performance. There were lots of talent show case by the students and the medium class level, and a short drama made by the pupils in traditional attire, about the society and its problems when it comes to social life and it was very entertaining and educative and a round of a pulse was applauded.


The school anthem THE WISE MAY BRING THEIR LEARNING, was backed by a tradition rhythm music a guitar, piano, and drums and it was so amazing and entertaining. From there the head mistress Mrs. Elizabeth mboge gave her remarks and constrains of the school, which is a dampness at the back of their classes due to a way for the water to get access when it rains, she had literates her delight regarding the support she have from teachers, parents and thank the community in their support and the turn out of the occasion..Thank giving to all who support especially Global New generation who are within the community and the school is our first priority since we start operating in the Gambia.

Global New Generation Gambia had two presentations and gift one for the school and the other for best outstanding students , and sulayman Jones made the presentation and short words for global new generation and its existence in the Gambia. Our aims and objectives which is to help the community in different sectors towards development in education, through Arts and culture…And a round of a pulse was applauded and it was a good moment for Global New Generation in Gambia and our recognition in the community.


Mrs. Lucy Safro the well known noble winner of child support in the Gambia both the able and the disable pupils in the education sector of the Gambia took a short form of a song with the pupils, parents, and all present in the ceremony follow suit in this song.


The ceremony was coming to an end and certificates were awarded and followed by the school anthem.

What is gooing on in Tobacco road ?

Global New Generation Gambia, (G.N.G.G), and its partners are working closely to embark on a new school, as the community in Banjul (tobacco road) will be using the school as a mini hospital, health center for the community sponsored by a German organization.

In this veil the school has to be close which teaches both English and Arabic and has over two hundred (200) pupils within the community. The Banjul city council with its key member staffs including the mayor of Banjul Mr. Samba Faal and the German organization members made a meeting with the women wing, Global New Generation were presented, this meeting came up to be a friendly meeting were ideas and proposal were made in front of everyone, and both the health center and the school is important and the women wing also use the other class for their tie and dye, batik and other domestic works that they engage in to solve their problems, we literate the important of all parties and its importance’s to the community of Banjul (tobacco road) , and our appreciation and the good gesture they brought in for banjul(tobacco road) and we welcome and honor them in random for giving the community of Banjul (tobacco road) for such a good and wonderful opportunity of having a health center in our door steps..Total appreciation by the community and Global New Generation….Banjul (tobacco road)


German organization, they were also very happy in the way we welcome them in open hands and again welcome them in the community which gives them a broad way in their operation, and that we are ready to work with them, In this point they enlightens the community that they are here to help in the health sector especially in Banjul (tobbaccoroad) as we don’t have a health center in our community, so this opportunity is given a priority for us to benefit totally a good health facility, first class standard.


Global New Generation Gambia with collaboration with the women wing in Banjul (tobacco road),has made a suggestion that the reserve land behind the school building presently a health center, should be build for the women wing to do their jobs there, as the school we recommended its closure because of the noise when the school will be there. They admit that and will also be ready to build that structure for the women wing in the reserve land and its going to be a (bantaba)and a store which we all appreciate and welcome it in random of a pulse. Solely responsible by the German organization.

The school should still be in the community and we were task to identify a suitable place with a friendly environment, The mayor of Banjul Mr. samba faal and the Banjul city council, are caution and for the rehabilitation or the new building of the school are yet to be arrange, but a place has being identify, and we will meet again with the council for final arrangements within are photos of all proceedings.

schools in The Gambia has open today 26 September 2011 and with the new intakes of students regular classes will be fully operational next week and presently the two schools we are working for in the Gambia Wesley contemporary nursery school and wansbrough nursery school start their learning and lessons today..introductions to new classes with the new students has being done since last week.

Wesley contemporary nursery school will be holding a luncheon sale 30 September 2011 for the fund raising of their kitchen and peripheral that with suit the kitchen to a standard at now their is no kitchen to prepare lunch for the children.Both schools are well organize schools build in a very friendly environment .
